35mm Film Portrait Session — 60 Minutes

1 hr$500

A portrait experience on 35mm film.

Photographed entirely on analog, each session embraces the texture, color, and depth only film carries. With a limited number of frames, every exposure is made with intension, and the session becomes a slower, more considered collaboration. These are portraits with the weight of an heirloom, images that feel timeless the day you receive them.

Your experience includes:
◦ 60-minute analog portrait session
◦ Two rolls of 35mm film, professional lab development, and high-resolution scans
◦ Personalized creative direction and location planning
◦ A curated selection of Los Angeles settings, or a space of your own
◦ Your complete curated collection, usually 30–50 finished photographs
◦ Your original negatives, archivally sleeved and returned to you
◦ Fine-art prints available separately

As an analog process, the final count varies. Every photograph in your gallery is chosen for its quality, not to meet a quota.

Film depends on daylight. Please choose a start time at least 75 minutes before sunset.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Joma before and they truly are an amazing photographer! The first shoot I ever did was something way out of my comfort zone, but Joma made me feel confident and comfortable; once I received the pictures they took, I realized they captured that confidence in those photos I never knew I had. My shooter, literally!!

Joma did a photo shoot for my upcoming EP. They are very skilled and professional. Took care to listen to and try my silly ideas. Strong recommend!

I’ve booked Joma for two different events and both sets of photos turned out phenomenal! Joma knows how to get beautiful and meaningful shots from an event. Additionally, they are very culturally competent and friendly. Joma’s my photographer 4 life!!

I booked Joma for two separate shoots, one a family shoot with our dog and the other a concert at a community event space with really wonky lighting. Both shoots were such a delight, Joma is sweet, caring, and professional. They made everyone feel at ease and comfortablein a way that really came throughin the photos. I can't believe how beautiful the photos turned out, (the editing of the concert especially was so impressive!) and how perfectly they capture the intimacy, energy, and spirit of these very different people and settings. I can't recommend them enough!!
